Josh. 22:9-28

Today’s Sermon is essentially a war-talk in peace times. While our congregation seems to be enjoying peace and unity, it is good to prepare our hearts for the spiritual testing that comes to every church who is forcefully advancing the Kingdom. Based on a story from Joshua 22, we are reminded to give one another the benefit of doubt. We must consider that most human behaviour that seems to be arrogant is actually a mask for grave insecurity, as in our Bible story today. When we think we should knock an arrogant person down a few notches, let us consider the possibility that they are actually insecure people who need to be brought UP a notch. As Trevor shares from his own previous ministry griefs, we see that even many seemingly arrogant leaders are actually insecure.
