(a dramatic summary of the book of Job)

Building on last week's message about how the God who is "able to save", often does "NOT" (Daniel 3:17-18), Trevor portrays the biblical character of Job, whose story embodies this very theme. If you do not know that he is speaking AS Job, you will get a very confusing message, because the message summarizes Job's lengthy discourse about whether or not God is indeed good and just. You are encouraged to read the book of Job - or at least the first two and last two chapters - before you tune in. Surely God has included the story of Job in His Word to help His family see how our lives serve a purpose in an invisible, spiritual controversy. We need to retain this knowledge in order to worship God in the storms of life, and even discover that praising God in the storms is the very purpose of our calling as God's redeemed people!
