Following a question from a member of the church family, Pastor Trevor devoted a Sunday to the commonly-asked question, "WHO should we address our prayers to - God, Father, Jesus, Spirit, Lord - or does it even matter? The pastor seized this opportunity to demonstrate how he got the answer using a priceless resource called "Bible Gateway," and online database which makes Bible study so simple and fast. (His step-by-step walkthrough of this was cut from this audio, since it is confusing without the visual that accompanies it.) After a summary of what the apostles teach and model in prayer (Acts through Revelation), Pastor Trevor offers three tips which he finds practical in daily prayer, but which are not explicitly taught in the Bible, hoping they will bolster the intended relationality of prayer. Prayer is not only a discipline. It is meant to connect us with our living, loving God!
