Back in May, the pastor preached a "nudge" - an invitation for every member of the BFAC family to take the next step forward in the Christian life. For some that was baptism, for others it was formal membership or even first-time confession of Christ and surrender. But for many, it is the intentional answer to God's call on EVERY disciple to also be a disciple-MAKER. This message was intended to be a first step in inspiring and empowering our people to begin the discipleship process in the most obvious place - the HOME. If God has given you kids, or grand-kids, and you are a follower of Jesus, you are under the standing mandate to disciple those kids. That idea seems to be terrifying and confusing for so many parents and grand-parents, who don't even know where to start. Well this message is an extremely practical starting point, as Amy Schaffrick shares tips and principles that have allowed her to instill an unusually high Biblical literacy in her own children, who are all 12 and under. The key is to know what kids already naturally LIKE, and integrate those "likes" into your discipleship strategy.
